President Trump signed the biggest ever defense funding bill on Friday at Joint Base Andrews.  The massive $738 billion bill signed under the National Defense Authorization Act for the Fiscal Year 2020 officially establishes a new, sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces, the Space Force.

The launch of Space Force under the Trump Administration is the first addition to the military service in more than 70 years when the US Air Force was created under President Harry Truman.

The funding bill is part of a $1.4 trillion government spending package that includes the Pentagon Budget within which is funding for the southern Border Wall.  Also included in the bill is 12 weeks of Paid Parental Leave, repeals “Cadillac Tax’ on Health Plans, raises smocking age to 21 and the biggest raise in military salaries in a long time.
