Although it may not be the wedding of the century, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding was the event of the season. A modern marriage with a blend of British tradition, the ceremony had all the pomp and pageantry of royalty and aristocracy.

At precisely midday, the once-divorced bride, wearing a gorgeous white boat-neck dress by British designer Clare Waight, arrived at the wedding chapel accompanied by 10 Page Boys and young bridesmaids.  Among them was Prince George and Princess Charlotte – the kids of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Together with more than 2, 000 invited guests and over 120,000 people who descended on Windsor Castle grounds to witness the occasion, the world watched another fairy-tale wedding of an African-American actress to the late Princess Diana’s youngest of her two sons, Prince Harry, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

With only Markle’s mother Doria Ragland present at the Royal Wedding as as the relative of the bride, the House of Windsor stepped in to assume the role of father figure to walk the bride and the soon-to-be royal down the aisle.

Ms. Markle’s bridal party walked her to the midpoint of the Chapel where Prince Charles took over and walked her down the aisle to the altar.  An emotional Prince Harry who had been waiting then said to his bride, “You look amazing” as he took her hand and then thanked his father, “Thank you, pa.”

The ceremony was held at the historically iconic St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and was presided over by the Bishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

The couple exchanged their vows before a crowd of 600 invited guests including Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Phillip who hadn’t been seen in public since his hip replacement surgery about 6 weeks ago.

After rings were exchanged and the couple were proclaimed husband and wife, the tears were replaced with joy as the newly-weds shared a passionate kiss in front of hundreds of their friends and all the Royals who came in full support of Diana’s youngest, once troubled son.

Afterwards, they left the ceremony in a vintage car to emerge later in an Ascot Landau Carriage for that iconic ride along the crowded Windsor streets where royal watchers and supporters had been waiting eagerly for the wedding procession.

The Royal Wedding which took place on a beautiful sunny day was watched by millions across the globe.  Over 120 thousand well-wishers also lined the iconic Long Walk to watch the procession as the Ascot Landau Carriage carrying the newly-weds – Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, pass by.

The Who’s Who of invited A-List celebrities mingled with English royalty and aristocracy at the wedding and later at a reception hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House.

In what has been described as the most diverse audience attending a royal event in the history of British monarchy, invited guests included the Who’s Who in the film, sports, music and philanthropic industries.

Sir Elton John who also sang at the the late Princess Diana’s funeral also paid tribute to her son, Prince Harry by singing at the reception.

Also included in the A-listers were crew members of the hit legal drama and TV series Suits where the newly wed Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle Windsor, was the lead star.

The Suits crew included the man who played Markle’s on-screen lover, actor Patrick Adams and his actress wife; actors Rich Hoffman, Gabriel Macht and his wife.

Harry and Meghan later joined their guests at an evening event hosted by his father, Prince Charles, at Frogmore House, a 17thcentury mansion in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The couple travelled in a silver blue converter, open-top Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero to get to the English mansion located within Windsor Castle grounds where around 200 guests were expected to join them and The Royals as well as other members of the British aristocracy.

Her Accomplishments/Resume

Apart from being an accomplished actress, Meghan Markle is also an advocate for women and girls and holds a degree in International Relations.  Her first job was at the U.S. Consulate in Havana, Cuba, where she worked before finally finding success as an actress.
