“I gave it all – I didn’t have a single bit left at the end.”

The four-time Olympian champion was who took Silver will finish his track career with a record of 10 golds and two silvers in major championships.

He is set to focus on marathons after his final track appearance at the 5,000m Diamond League final in Zurich on 24 August.

Sir Mo will take part in Diamond League races in Birmingham and Zurich, but London will be his last track appearance of note.
