This past week, President Trump received wall-to-wall coverage in major media networks across the world after successfully pulling off something his predecessors could not.
He brokered a historic peace deal between Israel and Gaza.
The news first became public on Wednesday October 8 after the President made an announcement through his social media platform saying that, “Israel and Hamas have both signed off on first phase of our Peace Plan.”
In response to the magnitude nature of the diplomatic achievement, The Jerusalem Post honoured President Trump with a personalized cover page in bold caps titled, ‘HE’S BRINGING THEM HOME.’ The silhouette facial image of the President was filled with the faces of the Israeli hostages.
Both Israel and Hamas agreed to phase one of the proposed Gaza peace deal, a 20-point plan that could see a release and return of all remaining hostages, deceased and alive, who were taken from a Jewish settlement more than two years ago on October 7 by Hamas. Of the 48 remaining hostages, 20 are said to be alive and 28 deceased.

“This is a great day for the Arab and Muslim world, Israel, all surrounding nations and the United States of America and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt and Turkey who worked with us to make this historic and unprecedented event happen,” Trump posted.
He then ended with, “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”
The deal, which is the “first phase” of a proposed peace plan comes on the heels of the second anniversary of the Hamas-led attack inside Israel which triggered the now 2-year long war in Gaza and the intractable conflict.
This is a huge accomplishment for the region and the world at large but mostly importantly, a major feat for the Trump Administration.
