In a diplomatic shocker and move that left world leaders in a tizzy and rattled global markets, President Trump cancelled the highly-anticipated, first time ever, face-to-face meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that had been scheduled for June 12, 2018 in Singapore.  The announcement was made via a letter to Kim by Trump citing “tremendous anger and open hostility” to the U.S.by the North Koreans.
