It’s past midnight and the results of the Presidential Election are still trickling in. In contrast to what had been most feared, the counting is going well with a shifting electoral college. Although the results appear to be too close, President Trump appears to have grown his base in some states and is performing well, actually out-performing his 2016 performance.
It’s past midnight and the results of the Presidential Election are still trickling in. In contrast to what had been most feared, the counting is going well with a shifting electoral college. Although the results appear to be too close, President Trump appears to have grown his base in some states and is performing well, actually out-performing his 2016 performance.
In Texas alone, Trump grew his base by over a million votes in the Lone Star state alone. In North Carolina, Trump also performed well, his performance buoyed by Evangelical Christians who make up about 30% of the population. That groups turned out en-masse to vote for Trump’s re-election.
Although the polls show Trump leading by a narrow margin in North Carolina, both the results and winner are still yet to be declared despite 91% of votes already in.
With reference to Arizona, President Trump and the Trump Campaign have called out Fox News demanding that the Network rescind calling that State to Joe Biden with only 73% of votes in, in other words, inadvertently suppression over a millions votes. As of midnight, none of the othe major networks had called out Arizona for Biden or Trump, only Fox News.
This haste decision led to the former White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders accusing the network of prematurely declaring Biden the winner when ironically, the same network waited to call Florida to President Trump who was clearly leading, after 95% of the votes had been counted.
So far, President Trump has won 23 states and Biden 18 states, with major swing states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia still waiting to be declared. Although President Trump is leading in all those states, they haven’t been called although some already have 80+ and 90+ votes counted.
As for the Florida, Trump won the Sunshine State easily with a huge support from the Hispanic population who are more Conservative and are for family and God. There were Cuban-Americans, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans who turned up for Trump in huge numbers, much to the surprise of the Democrats.
