President Donald Trump visited San Diego to tour the U.S. border with Mexico on Tuesday to examine Border Wall prototypes to build a barrier to keep out illegal immigrants and drugs.

This was Trump’s first ever visit to the state of California as the President of the United States, a renegade state that is the resistance capital to his presidency and policies.

Accompanying him was his Chief of Staff John Kelly and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen together with local U.S. Border Patrol a(USBP) agents who rode on horseback.

“The border wall is truly our first line of defense,” Trump told reporters.

Trump has asked the U.S. Congress for $18 billion to build the structure, but the funding has become ensnared in controversy over a host of immigration restrictions he and Republicans have proposed.

During his visit, Trump took aim at California’s “Sanctuary Cities” and their policies of refusing to cooperate with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials seeking to enforce law and deport illegal immigrants.

President Trump later addressed marines in San Diego at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar where he said sanctuary cities violate the U.S. Constitution by nullifying Federal Laws. He accused San Francisco and Los Angeles among other cities for providing sanctuary to illegal aliens who have committed crimes.

Last week, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the state of California, it’s Democratic governor and Attorney General for violating the U.S. Constitution through the newly enacted unconstitutional “Sanctuary Cities” Laws that endanger Federal Agents.

California’s Democratic Governor Jerry Brown last October signed a bill into law preventing local Law Enforcement from inquiring about people’s immigration status as well as forbidding them from cooperation with Immigration Officers.
