National Intelligence Chief, Tulsi Gabbard announced on March 10 that she has revoked security clearances of some of former President Joe Biden’s top aides and those of 51 former intel officials who signed a letter casting doubt on the Hunter Biden laptop emails, calling it “Russian disinformation”.
Posting on social media, the Intelligence Chief cited President Trump’s directive:
“Per @POTUS directive, I have revoked security clearances and barred access to classified information for Anthony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg and Andrew Weisman, along with the 51 signers of the Hunter Biden ‘disinformation’ letter.”

The list includes former prominent officials like CIA Directors John Brennan and Leon Panetta . It also includes James Clapper who served as Director of National Intelligence (DNI). All three men were appointed by former President Barack Obama and served under his Administration.
The signatories of the now infamous letter were later accused of interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election with the sole purpose of helping Joe Biden after both the laptop and its contents were later proven to be true. The letter first came into public knowledge in October 2020, a month before the election in November where, then President Trump, was seeking re-election for a second term.
Furthermore, then presidential candidate Joe Biden used the letter against Trump in the final stages of his presidential campaign during the debate where he cited the 50 former intel officials as having claimed that the laptop and its contents were part of “Russian disinformation.”

Trump went on to lose the election by a very slim margin to Joe Biden with the letter said to have played a pivotal role in that outcome.

Gabbard also announced that former President Joe Biden is no longer receiving the President’s Daily Brief (PDB), a daily summary of some of the nation’s most sensitive information, according to the official website of ODNI (Office of the Director of National Intelligence).
“The President’s Daily Brief is no longer being provided to former President Biden,” she added.
A prelude to the revocation of the Biden clearance was first posted on Truth Social by President Trump in early February where he wrote the following:
“There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings. He set this precedent in 2021, when he instructed the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop the 45th President of the United States (ME!) from accessing details on National Security, a courtesy provided to former Presidents.”

Trump then elaborated the reasoning behind this decision, citing Biden’s mental and cognitive issues which were of public knowledge but were acknowledged officially for the first time in The Hur Report.
“The Hur Report revealed that Biden suffers from ‘poor memory’ and, even in his ‘prime,’ could not be trusted with sensitive information.”
The initial directive to revoke the security clearance was first signed hours after President Trump’s second inauguration as the 47th President Of The United States. It was also his first official day in the Oval Office where he signed a plethora of other Executive Orders.
