Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was confirmed and sworn in as President Donald Trump’s new Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) the same day as Tulsi Gabbard.

Kennedy, otherwise commonly known as RFK Jr., was confirmed 52-48 along party lines like Tulsi Gabbard with one Republican, former Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, crossing over to vote with Democrats against his own party’s nominee.

He was later sworn in the same day at the Oval Office, in The White House, by Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.  Present at the ceremony was President Donald Trump, Kennedy’s wife Cheryl Hines as well as members of his family.

Kennedy, a long-time critic of big pharma, vaccines including the powerful medical establishment and apparatus, will now be in charge of a huge trillion dollar federal budget.

As HHS Secretary, Kennedy will now oversee and assume control of other important U.S. health agencies namely, the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Despite previous scepticism on his nomination by Republicans particularly after his well-documented vocal, anti-COVID vaccine campaign, the former Democrat-turned Independent would later gain support from some establishment Republicans.

Even moreso, Kennedy’s greatest support came from the MAGA branch of the GOP especially with his “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) campaign slogan.

Kennedy is the second former Democrat-turned MAGA and non-Republican serving in the second term Trump Administration.

All Democrats opposed Kennedy.  On the Republican side,  all GOP Senators with the exception of one, Mitch McConnell, voted for Kennedy.
