A Petition asking the White House to declare international financier, billionaire and liberal mega-donor George Soros a domestic terrorist has garnered over 120,000 signatures, more than enough to warrant a response from the Trump administration.
The petition which was posted on the We the People section of the White House website on August 20 requires 100,000-signature within 30 days for it to trigger an official response. As of Sunday afternoon, it had acquired over 125,000 digital signatures.
The Petitioner only known as E.B. says the billionaire has created and funded multiple organizations in the United States with a sole purpose to apply modern terrorist tactics for destroying the US government.
The petition read as follows:
“George Soros has willfully and on an ongoing basis attempted to destabilize and otherwise commit acts of sedition against the United States and its citizens, has created and funded dozens (and probably hundreds) of discrete organizations whose sole purpose is to apply Alinsky model terrorist tactics to facilitate the collapse of the systems and Constitutional government of the United States.”
It goes further to accuse Soros of having developed an “unhealthy and undue influence over the entire Democrat Party and a large portion of the U.S. Federal government.”
The Petitioner under the guise of We The People are is asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) to “immediately declare George Soros and all of his organizations and staff members to be domestic terrorists.”
The petition is also asking the U.S. government through the DOJ to ” have all of his [George Soros] personal and organizational wealth and assets seized under Civil Asset Forfeiture law.”
The Hungarian-born billionaire who is one of the world’s wealthiest people is the founder and head of the Soros Fund Management Hedge Fund. His fortune, according to Forbes, is estimated at about 25 billion dollars. Some of the renowned organizations funded by Soros include International Crisis Group (ICG), Media Matters, Democracy Alliance, MoveOn.org, J. Street, Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) and Central European University (CEU) among others.
Launched by the Obama administration in 2011, The We the People portal was created by the Obama Administration in 2011 to encourage citizenry participation in daily matters. The aim was to enable anyone to log-on to the White House website and post a petition potentially capable of garnering a response from the incumbent administration.
So far, none of the petitions that have passed the 100,000-signature threshold during this young administration have received a response, with several already in the queue. A petition seeking the Alt-Left, Antifa movement to be formally labelled a terrorist group has so far garnered over half a million votes.

Soros is the founder and head of the Soros Fund Management hedge fund and one of the world’s wealthiest people. According to Forbes, his fortune is estimated at about 25 billion dollars.
Soros was a supporter of Trump’s Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, during the 2016 US presidential election, pouring millions of dollars into her campaign. The Jewish business tycoon predicted in January that Trump was a “would-be dictator” who would fail, and UK Prime Minister Theresa May would not remain in power following Brexit.
