In a not-so-surprising move and in fulfilling one of his major campaign promises, President Trump announced on Tuesday to the captivated world audience that he is pulling the United States out of the “disastrous” Obama-era Iran Nuclear Deal with immediate effect.

With a stroke of a pen, President Trump dismantled another failed Obama legacy he termed “defective” calling the deal “horrendous, one-sided, ridiculous and insane.”

“America will not be held hostage to a nuclear blackmail,” he remarked from the White House Diplomatic Reception Room.

He signed the bill to finalize the withdrawal.

During the Live Broadcast carried by all major news outlets in the U.S. and across the world, Trump promised to reinstate full sanctions on Iran and vowed to sanction any country that helps the country with its economy.

As President, Trump has never hidden his disdain for what he saw as huge embarrassment to America’s foreign policy” and often blasted the “one-sided” agreement as “one of the worst deal in history” the United States has ever entered into.

“The Iran deal is defective at its core. If we do nothing, we know exactly what will happen: In just a short period of time, the world’s leading state sponsor of terror will be on the cusp of acquiring the world’s most dangerous weapons.”

He then warned Tehran, “If the regime continues its nuclear aspirations, it will have bigger problems than it has ever had before.

“It is clear…that we cannot prevent an Iranian nuclear bomb under the decaying and rotten structure of the current agreement.”

Trump said that the U.S. now has “definitive proof” that Iran was lying about its pursuit of nuclear weapons when it entered into the 2015 agreement. And he threatened Tehran’s mullahs with new headaches if they resume their pursuit of a weapon of mass destruction.

With this bold move, President Trump has proven once again that unlike his predecessors, he follows through with his promises and pulling the country from the flawed deal is one of them.

“When I make promises, I keep them,” he said.

“Today’s action sends a critical message: The United States no longer makes empty threats.”

In a move that shocked some U.S. allies particularly its three staunchest allies in Europe – France, Germany and U.K who had been lobbying hard asking Trump to stick by the deal, the leaders of those nations later released a joint statement which read in part:

“Our governments remain committed to ensuring the agreement is upheld, and will work with all the remaining parties to the deal to ensure this remains the case including through ensuring the continuing economic benefits to the Iranian people that are linked to the agreement.”

In response to the underhanded Obama-Kerry shadow diplomacy to save the “disastrous” deal while undermining his agenda in a bid to force him to stick by the deal, President Trump pointed out the naivety of Barack Obama and his administration who were steamrolled by Iran’s Mullahs.

“In theory, the so-called Iran deal was supposed to protect the United States and our allies from the lunacy of an Iranian nuclear bomb, a weapon that will only endanger the survival of the Iranian regime,” he declared.

“In fact, the deal allowed Iran to continue enriching uranium, and over time reach the brink of a nuclear breakout.

“We will not allow a regime that chants “Death to America” to gain access to the most deadly weapons on earth,” declared Trump, after stating several times that Iran will not under any circumstance be allowed to join the ranks of nuclear nations due to its belligerence towards the U.S.

President Trump also threated to impose the highest level of sanctions and punish any nation that will aid the rogue nation in its quest to acquire nuclear weapons.

“The only sure way to get on the path of stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons and delivery capabilities is to get out of the deal, and that’s what the President has done,’ said former UN Ambassador and the new National Security Advisor, John Bolton.

In response, Iranian President Rouhani blasted President Trump saying that his “psychological war and economic pressures will not work.”

“The fact is that this was a horrible, one sided deal that should have never, ever been made,” said Trump. “It didn’t bring calm. It didn’t bring peace. And it never will.”
