Almost a week after firing his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, President Trump once again shook up his Foreign Policy team by replacing his National Security Advisor, General H.R. McMaster with former Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, a hawkish Neo Con.

McMaster’s ouster which came by way of resignation did not come as a surprise to many as he struggled to fit in within the Trump Administration.

The announcement of his removal came a week after another high-profile Administration official, Rex Tillerson, was fired and replaced by then CIA Director, Mike Pompeo.

The move to replace McMaster with Bolton comes at a time when the White House is engaged in preparation for the upcoming, high-level nuclear talks between President Trump with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un scheduled for May this year at a location yet to be determined.

Both President Trump and McMaster both released written statements thanking each other with President Trump describing the outgoing National Security Adviser as an architect of his “America First” Foreign Policy.

“He has won many battles and his bravery and toughness ae legendary,” said the President of McMaster.

While Ambassador Bolton is set to assume his new position on April 9, McMaster, a 55-year-old 3-Star general, is set retire from the military after 34 years at the same times he steps down from his position.
